Now With Time...

I have been able to donate some time to twiddling on the old guitar.

It has been great fun to spend an hour or so each day being creative, if not amateurish, in this endevor.

Computers now allow the amateur musician to create a "Home Recording Studio" with no licience or conscience as to who they expose to their hobby. I'm still dealing with the weird sensation of hearing your own voice!! Anyway, if you are strong of stomach, you may want to visit:

for a sample. It seems to help if you have good speakers on which to listen. See, I'm already making excuses!!

The Taos Generation

Leonard and Susan spent a wonderful part of our Saturday visiting the current Taos generation, Adam, Tarah, and most of their family. Isaiah was visiting his uncle in Colorado, so we missed him a lot.

We stopped for ice cream on a beautiful pre-spring afternoon and I managed to gather Adam, Tarah, Salah, Isha, and Domatila for a family photo.

Yummmm, Ice Cream!!!

Grandpa gets to hold Domatila but only because Tarah is out of her sight! She really loves her Mommy.

While...Grandma has an eye-to-eye talk with her youngest grandchild.

Finally, Salah is a very happy 7 year old with only fleeting moments of bashfullness

Thanks Adam and Tarah and kiddos for a great visit in beautiful Taos!!!

Not much for "Blogging"

I guess I'm not much of a "Blogger", but to keep the interest of blog viewers it seems that consistent posting of pictures must be applied. Commuting in the mountains, especially on a motorcycle, has it's challenges...but also a beauty that can be unexpected. Last fall I was coming home from work and became almost too involved in one of nature's rituals. These elk were battling for "the prize" and worked themselves to the road where a lot of slipping, sliding, grunting, and pushing led me to do a swift back pedal. It was amazing to watch, but a little too close for comfort.
Let's see...what else can I find in the pictue section. How about this? A couple of summers ago Susan and I had a wonderful vacation with Matt and Steph and I shot a picture of Susan taking a quiet walk on Canon Beach in Oregon. What a great place.

Well, that's it for now.
